In the spring of 2024, I wrote a paper about the romanticization of tuberculosis. It propelled me to consider wider topics like public health, innovation, and the way we view disease.

After writing my paper, I began reading any public-access papers I could find about tuberculosis. I am particularly fascinated with Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB).

Recently, I met with Dr. Sarah Lim from the Minnesota Department of Health to discuss current challenges with tuberculosis and how MDH is addressing them. Read my abstract here.
